This finely detailed HO scale Snake Den #20 kit is available now! At a cost of $850, the Ringling Bros. had this glass sided Snake Den built by the Bode Wagon Co. in Cincinnati in 1903. During the street parade a snake charmer would sit on a chair behind glass panes holding a huge python, which impressed the townspeople. Note all the decorative wood carvings depict writhing snakes. Only the very big railroad circuses could afford the luxury of a Snake Den. The origional wagon now resides at the Circus World Museum in Baraboo, WI. and was restored to it's former beauty by the Museum's master craftman Marv Gauger and his crew.
